ABBA IS BACK!

Thanks to the movies "Muriel’s Wedding" and "Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert", the 90's saw a massive resurgence in the popularity of Swedish Super Group ABBA.  And now with overwhelming television exposure and huge demands for the show, here is your opportunity to witness the band "ABBAsolutely fABBAulous" performing the "THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC SHOW" which is touring Australasia as part of their World Tour.

The Show’s inception in 1989 was to utilize four top class musicians who could recreate the look and more importantly, the sound of the 70's pop phenomenon. Taking charge of this particular awesome foursome is Damian Wynne, an original member of this band. Damian, who has been based in Europe and UK, has been impersonating and performing all his life and enjoys the role of keyboard player Benny Andersson. Asked about his thoughts on the role ABBA has played in the history of popular music, Damian plainly states" Thank You For The Music".

Joining him on stage as his now jilted wife Anni-Frid Lyngstad is Rebecca Lockhart. Rebecca’s capability to sing any style of music has seen her perform in anything she can lay her hands on-- classical, rock, pop, rock'n'roll and jazz and blues. This Australian Idol semi finalists performance history is extensive and she has been involved in almost every facet of the entertainment industry from teaching dance and singing to, winning karaoke championships to entertaining on stages all over the world. She now performs in her most expressive, most coveted, and most adrenaline-pumping role yet… that of Anni-Frid.

Rebecca’s partner in song on stage is Australia's own singer song writer and actress Sarah Nichols. Sarah’s diverse CV includes major on stage roles as a child. Sarah has been performing live all over the world, singing with popular covers bands and original acts. Lending her exquisite vocal talents as Agnetha Faltskog, Sarah was too young to remember ABBA the first time around and can not believe that the songs she sings as Agnetha have still remained timeless in today’s ever-changing pop music world.

Playing the somber Bjorn Ulvaeus is English born singer/songwriter and guitarist Tony Cowell who started his career performing in original bands throughout New Zealand and Australia. Tony’s love for music ranges from the big rock band sounds of the early 80's to modern day Jazz, but love's to play the role of the talented Bjorn in the show, which has taken him to all parts of the world he thought he would never go in his life.

The band all agree on one thing, "ABBA's Music is fun. The costumes are wacky; they are not something you wear around Town but are ideal to take everybody back to the great musical era of the 70's".

The performance covers all the great ABBA songs-: Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mama Mia, I Do I DO I DO, Ring Ring, Rock Me, the list goes on and on. In total 30 Musical Memories based on the ABBA Live tour of 77. The show revives 5 of Agnetha and Frida’s greatest costumes. And of course, you will witness ABBA’s great unique choreographed moves.
ith over 2250 performances, the London Times sums it up the best of all.
